Kaveh Saidi's compositions range from works for string orchestra, chamber pieces,
classical and rock arrangements for strings, electronica, and ambient works. His latest CD,
Clear Light Parts the Haze reflects a move from concert music towards accessible rock
tunes and mesmerizing soundscapes with the violin and electric guitar used in new and
powerful ways.

For this album, Kaveh drew from influences such as Jeff Beck, Pink Floyd, Stephane
Grappelli, Steve Reich, Vangelis, Steve Vai, Rush, Nathan Milstein, and the Kronos
Quartet. On Clear Light Parts the Haze, Kaveh creates instrumental rock music with the
violin and guitar at the forefront of his sound. What results is an explosive and meaningful
combination of hard rock, funk, and ambient music with a classical musician's sensibility.
